L'Oréal cosmetics ads banned after MP complains
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned two L'Oréal cosmetics ads featuring Christy Turlington and Julia Roberts, following complaints by Liberal Democrat MP Jo Swinson that they had been digitally manipulated.

ITV revenues up 4% and pre-tax profits climb 73%
ITV has posted a 4% lift in revenues to £1,027m for the six months to the end of June, while controlled costs and the absence of World Cup overheads helped pre-tax profits grow 73% year on year to £204m.
