I’ve seen plenty of exmaples of Promoted Tweets, but never had one permanently parked in my timeline until today when this one from Getty Images appeared yesterday.

Not only did it appear yesterday evening but it is still there today and it shows no signs of going away. Considering I’m looking at Tweetdeck every five minutes or so that is pretty annoying and it isn’t at all what Twitter said it would deliver.

However, it's easy for brands to launch campaigns without ever really analysing the results and the behaviour of the target audience. In order to understand the behaviour of customers and users, it's essential that brands understand the true reach and impact of their communication on social networks.
