NYTimes readies paid iPad app but mum on paywall

NEW YORK - The New York Times continues to offer scant details regarding its "metered model" paywall, but has said a paid for Apple iPad app is on the way, which is due to debut in January when it is also expected the paper will launch its paid content plans.
