It’s not yet clear whether the information belongs to people who are members of both sites.

Twitter CEO Dick Costolo: "We're borne of mobile"Twitter CEO Dick Costolo has said Twitter is generating more advertising revenue from its mobile platform than from its website on many days in the last quarter.

Costolo made his remarks whilst speaking at a conference in San Francisco on the day after Facebook stepped up the monetisation of its mobile service by allowing the majority of advertisers to buy Sponsored Story ads specifically for mobile for the first time.

Twitter revamps brand: Taking flight: #TwitterbirdTwitter has this morning unveiled a revamp of its brand that sees the familiar little blue tweeting bird formalised as its brand symbol.

The announcement is designed to do away with the many variations that have crept in over the past six years that are often used to represent the Twitter brand.

LinkedIn: Nearly 6.5m LinkedIn passwords reportedly stolen A huge blow for LinkedIn if the story breaking today is correct. A user in a Russian internet forum claims to have hacked the professional social network LinkedIn and stolen the account details of almost 6.5 million accounts.

Starbucks Ireland Caught Out In Twitter ScandalStarbucks did not have the greatest of Jubilee weekends. Simply Zesty noticed that the Starbucks Irish Twitter account asked followers why they were proud to be British.

Unsurprisingly, the question did not win Starbucks in Ireland any new fans. It was a simple error, but an embarrassing one for Starbucks.
