Daily Telegraph to create 50 digital jobs as 80 are cutThe Telegraph Group is to cut as many as 80 jobs and create 50 new digital ones as part of a major restructure at the paper.

The changes mean a full merger of the Daily and Sunday Telegraph into a seven-day operation.

During a session at SXSW, I enjoyed the fact that the panel opened by asking the attendees to raise their hands if they had used the tool. About half had. That's half of a room full of people who had come explicitly to hear about Graph Search. The second question was even more telling – how many of those who have used it actually found it useful? Less than half again. Not particularly promising.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Clarke said people are addicted to it as he talked about the success of the paper that has beaten The New York Times and The Guardian to become the world’s biggest newspaper online.
