There are tips on profile pics and the new header photos that Twitter introduced earlier this year. As well as doing these on your desktop PC whilst sitting comfortably at work you can also make these changes on the go via your mobile phone. How handy is that?

Red Bull named number one in list of the Top 100 Social Video Brands | 12 November 2012, 2:42PM | Fresh from exploits on the edge of space Red Bull has been named number one in a list of the Top 100 Social Video brands having been deemed to have the best overall “social video strategy”. The first Goviral Social Video Equity Report put the energy drink above brands such as Google and Samsung, which came in second and fifth place respectively. Apple and Microsoft both failed to make the top ten, coming in at numbers 11 and 37.

New York Times spends on Twitter to promote star blogger Nate Silver | 09 November 2012, 3:52PM | The New York Times has splashed out on Promoted Tweets to capitalise on the amazing success that election blogger Nate Silver has had in predicting the US Presidential election results. The FiveThirtyEight: Nate Silver’s Political Calculus blog accounted for around 20% of the New York Times’s visitors the day before the election giving instant worldwide fame to the former baseball turned political statistician who the paper signed up in 2010.

Church of England has a Twitter moment as new archbishop of Canterbury announced via Twitter | 09 November 2012, 11:48AM | We had another Twitter moment this morning or rather the Church of England did as it and Number 10 used Twitter to jointly announce the appointment of the new Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. It’s a big moment in British life and the fact that Downing Street and the C of E turned to Twitter seems fairly significant as it tweeted: “Downing Street is pleased to announce the appointment of Justin Welby as the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury”.
