The future of Project magazine, the lifestyle iPad magazine published by Virgin Interactive Publishing (VIP), is in doubt after a winding-up petition against the company was issued by Seven Publishing, a former publishing partner in the venture.

Trinity Mirror has reported a 40% fall in pre-tax profits to £74m after being hit by a £22m rise in printing costs and has announced the launch a raft of paid-for digital newspaper e-editions and mobile devices.
